About Me

Professional

I began my legal career in the late 1980s working for the government in New Orleans, Louisiana. I am now in Houston, Texas, where I solely practice  and teach Immigration and Nationality law. I can represent you wherever you are located in the world, as United States Immigration Law is the same from state to state and country to country.

I am familiar with the old (pre-1996) and the current US immigration laws. Hiring an immigration lawyer familiar with the old laws is important, especially if you have been in the US for a long time. I have been Board Certified in immigration and nationality law for nearly fifteen years and I am competent to handle all aspects of employment, family, or immigration court work.

I have also taught US immigration law for the last twelve years at several local law schools and have drafted and graded the Board Certification Immigration and Nationality Law examination for the State of Texas. I am a frequent speaker on immigration and nationality law matters and my immigration writings have appeared in the University of Memphis, Connecticut, Boston College, District Columbia ,and Texas Southern University law reviews.
PERSONAL
I reside in Meyerland, which is located in the southwest area of Houston.    My Meyerland home has flooded three times in the last three years.  I choose to live there and raise my family and have accepted flooding as the "new normal."
